Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
C.B.T. is a foundational approach to therapy, where we learn to identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, and understand our core beliefs about ourselves. Together we can build awareness of how our thoughts impact our behaviours and emotions.
Mindful Self-Compassion
The practice of Mindful Self-Compassion teaches us to bring awareness to ourselves, our emotions, and our struggles, connect to our shared humanity, and treat ourselves as we would a dear friend. MSC explores the Yin and Yang of self-compassion, the fierce and the nurturing ways we take care of ourselves.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
D.B.T. in an evidenced based therapy that teaches skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. With DBT we find the wisdom in our emotions and learn to validate ourselfs and others.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy offers us the opportunity to understand our challenges as separate from ourselves. We learn that we are not our problems, and practice not identifying with our struggles. Understanding our experiences as personal stories we tell can help us gain perspective and reshape our narrative.
Polyvagal Therapy
Through building our understanding of our polyvagal nervous system we can better identify our survival states, and learn to cue for safety as we build connection, context, and choice.
Feminist Theory
I believe that the personal is political. Connecting our struggles to their wider political context helps us to gain perspective, connect to our shared humanity, and fight against oppression.
