Great to meet you!

My name is Martha Elliott, and I am thrilled to welcome you to my practice!

All About Me

I am a passionate about supporting individuals along their path to wellness! I myself have lived experience of mental health challenges, and have spent years as a consumer of wellness services. This experience has given me powerful insights into the challenges people face is accessing the supports they need! For that reason, I have the policy that my door is always the right door. If you reach out to me and I'm not able to help you, I will you help find someone who can! I've been a Londoner my whole life, and am well connected with the local supports and services.

I have been practicing social work, counselling, and psychotherapy since 2018. I have worked in mental health inpatient, post-secondary, and community services. I have extensive experience supporting folks with navigating challenging relationships, supporting those with emotional dysregulation and their families, and walking alongside clients as their build the life they want to live.

My educational background is in Gender Studies. Prior to going into Social Work, I received both my Bachelor and Master of Arts in Women's studies and Feminist Research from Western University. I am committed to principles of social justice and equity for all regardless of gender, sexuality, race, class, ability, nationality/citizenship, or religion. I strive to be culturally humble and aware of my own social power and privilege. I think it is always important to have a perspective that connects our individual experiences to broader social conditions.

I am an animal lover, and parent to a geriatric cat, Bella! I am always thrilled when clients share their pets with me as well. One of the benefits of virtual sessions! I am also a committed crafter (I love to knit, paint, draw, cross stitch, collage etc.) and love to explore the region's excellent hiking trails! I am a life long learner who is always digging into a new book, podcast, or documentary. Please share your favourites with me!

I am excited to get to know you and support you in standing firm in your own sacred ground!
